Ministry Opportunities
When training for life and
ministry, a commitment to Christian service is just as important as
academics. Our Student Ministry program is considered to be a two
credit lab that is a regular part of the school curriculum.
Local Ministry
At the heart of the Christian faith is the concept of relationship;
first with God, and then with our fellow man. A primary objective of
the Student Ministry Program is to provide you with an opportunity to
grow in your ability to minister to the needs of others, and to learn
to work together with others in your ministry group. Some examples of
ministry opportunities include working with local churches in youth
groups, teaching Sunday School, and music ministry, as well as hospital
visitation, Pregnancy Care Center, and on-campus ministries at ABI.
Short Term Mission Trips
During the school year, students also have the opportunity to go on
short term mission trips to the remonte villages in Alaska. These 3-5
day trips are an incredible eye-opening experience. Students are
introduced to a completely different culture, and have an opportunity
to bring the light of Christ to these hurting and isolated areas of our
country. |
