Radio Ministry

In 1981, God used Alaska Village Missions to pioneer a new ministry for spreading the Gospel over the airwaves. AVM received the first F.C.C. approval in the nation for direct satellite programming feed to re-broadcast Moody radio into dozens of villages.

Now, over 25 years later, A.V.M. in partnership with Moody radio continues to enlarge and enhance this missionary tool. In the fall of 2006, all of the A.V.M. translators were updated to receive the signal from a new satellite and be transmitted in full digital stereo. Construction of a new station for Delta Junction-Fort Greely on 99.3 was completed in 2008.
Our radio ministry currently operates FM translators 24/7 in the following Alaskan communities:
